The food is always good here. I had churrasco with mash potatos and don’t forget the chimmichuri sauce on the side. I also love the plaintain chips that they serve as an appetizer when you order and entree. The jugo de chinola was pretty good but had to water it down because it is very sweet. We also ordered a morir soñando which was perfectly delicious. The pricing here is pretty good for how much food you get.

Tropical Sensation Restaurant came on the UWS scene around 15 years ago and has proven itself to be neighborhood stalwart serving up delicious Dominican, Latin/Caribbean Cuisine. I haven't had a bad meal yet, and I regularly visit for Lunch or Dinner. The hospitality is always warm, friendly and welcoming. The portions are also generous. Check them out!

I come here every time I want some good Spanish food they never miss nor disappointed. Everytime I come there very friendly , the service is fast and the food always tastes great. I highly recommend been eating from here for about a year now 🫶🔥

This is the SECOND time we ordered Tropical through Grub hub, Tropical delayed 2x, Then just canceled the order almost 2 hours later. It’s 9 o’clock at night and I have kids that haven’t eaten. If you can’t handle making deliveries, don’t pretend like you can.

I keep coming back because of the consistency. Friendly staff, great food, old school family environment, and good music. Definitely order a piña colada. Even if you think you don’t need it. It’s made fresh and transports you to DR.

My family loves this place. Food and drinks are always good, I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here. The only downside is how small the place is.

HORRIBLE is all I can say. Rice is either no flavor, or chicken has no flavor!! DELIVERY SERVICE IS HORRIBLEEE I ordered at 3:25pm called again at 4:30pm my order was never made called AGAIN at 5pm my order is unavailable and nobody knows what’s going on. YOU WANT GOOD SPANISH FOOD FOR DINNER OR LUNCH YOU BETTER OF GOING TO ANOTHER LOCAL SPANISH RESTAURANT THIS ONE IS NOT IT !! I don’t even write review but they really out did themselves

The chicken is decent but the pernil is salty and doesn't have any other flavor. They have a lot of variety but look for some where else if you are in search of good pernil.
